The Honest Dog
Actually, this is for any time of the year! Granted, it's rare. Dogs are built in such a way to not need our help if they get something caught in their throat, and actually, they probably prefer that we don't interfere. But - it does happen. Your dog can get something caught in her teeth or elsewhere in her throat and before you know it, you've lost all reason and forgot what to do, and you're panicking. Review the graphic, and take good care and be careful! Use common sense; don't invite a bite. Give your dog a chance to clear his throat himself; I have had to help my girl get a piece of stick that was stuck between her teeth, and she was good enough to let me. Know your dog, and act accordingly. If these maneuvers don't work, get your dog to the vet ASAP!
